BIRMINGHAM: The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday announced Lord’s Cricket Ground as the host for the 2023 and 2025 World Test Championship (WTC) finals.

On the final day of its annual conference here, cricket’s governing body confirmed Lord’s as the host for the finals of the next two editions of the WTC.

Prior to the move to Southampton, the WTC’s first season final was originally scheduled to be held at Lord’s. To win the opening competition, New Zealand beat India by eight wickets in the final.

Apart from the WTC, the ICC also announced the host countries for the upcoming four women’s global events until 2027. England, Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka have been chosen as the hosts.
